For the summer months, GLAMOUR magazine teamed up with a Hungarian real estate development firm operating the country’s largest shopping malls to raise awareness of a problem that affects nearly 20 percent of women in Hungary: domestic violence. A donation of more than half a million HUF have been raised during the countrywide summer roadshow called GLAMOUR Beauty Tour for supporting Women For Women Together Against Violence Association (NANE), a Hungarian NGO working with the mission of building down the taboos related to domestic violence.
On the weekends of June and July, the beauty island installation of the glossy magazine visited the shopping malls of 10 major Hungarian cities and welcomed the shoppers with beauty services: makeup, style and hairstyle guidance. All visitors could contribute to the mission of the Beauty Tour by purhasing the sylish lipstic-shaped pen of GLAMOUR magazine for a symbolic amount of money. All income went to NANE and will be turned for educational purposes against domestic violence.
