The success of GLAMOUR-days, the Hungarian national shopping marathon with
fourteen years of history, has convinced the jury of the 18th Hungarian Effie Awards.
Thus, the leading Hungarian glossy media brand can celebrate its 15th birthday with a
gleaming gift: a Bronze Effie in the category of Long-term effectiveness.
The GLAMOUR-days coupon program was nominated for the Effie Awards by the magazine’s
publisher, Ringier Axel Springer Hungary Ltd. in the Long-term effectiveness category.
GLAMOUR organized its first biannual discount coupon shopping days in 2005 and achieved
instant success among Hungarian consumers. The outrageous popularity which surrounds
GLAMOUR-days shopping marathon is well illustrated by the fact that it multiplied its
attractiveness in the past 14 years: while in 2005 36 brands were represented on the first,
one-day sale, now in 2019, 320 brands were waiting for customers on the 5-days-event.
The Effie Awards is the only competition in the advertising industry that evaluates campaigns
