History

The company has been present in the Hungarian press market since 1989 and became part of Ringier Axel Springer Media AG in 2014. The portfolio of Ringier Axel Springer Hungary consists of more than 60 digital and print products. It includes the leading boulevard brand Blikk as well as a number of women's magazines, TV guides and licensed titles such as Glamour, Geo or Auto BILD and their online editions.
When first founded, the media company reached success with the program-magazine Tvr-hét and the magazine Lakáskultúra. Their women’s magazine Kiskegyed exceeded the historical press record with a sold circulation of 600.000 copies. Today the popularity of Kiskegyed is still unbroken. Successful brand extensions have been launched such as Kiskegyed Gyöngy, Kiskegyed Konyhája, Kiskegyed Otthona, Kiskegyed Fitt, Kiskegyed Rejtvény, Kiskegyed Recepttár. Kiskegyed.hu is one of the most favorite online magazines.
Blikk is the leading national daily and belonged before its integration into Ringeir Axel Springer Hungary to Ringier Kiadó. The compay had been present in the Hungarian market since 1993 as one of the largest Hungarian media companies. The strongest brand of the company was the leading daily Blikk and blikk.hu. In 2009, Blikk celebrated its 15th birthday, the new monthly gastronomical magazine Blikk Nők Konyha was launched and the women’s magazine Blikk Nők Otthon&Kert was published. In 2010, Blikk Nők Egészség, the brand extension of Blikk Nők was launched, focusing on health and life-style topics.
