Background printing:
Printing the background “under” the text or image elements (logo, colour tone) is generally a light but well visible surface with little intensity, which does not disturb the appearance and the legibility.
It is called background print because of the appearance, but in fact the page is prepared with normal 4 colour-print.

Technical conditions: “background print” is technically carried out during the preparation of the editorial page, in every case prior consultation is necessary.

Insert
Inserts mean the placing of product samples, leaflets, other information material to an optional or defined spot. It is also possible to insert something in front of the title-page, in this case foiling of the title is necessary.

Technical conditions: the product sample has to be delivered at a time and to a place determined in advance. Size and weight limits always have to be agreed upon previously.

Drawing-in or binding-in
Drawing-in means in case of exercise-book drawn magazines the drawing-in of pre-produced folded products between the sheets, in the middle of the sheet (at the place defined by the printing stonework), or even in front of the title-page, fitted to the bottom or top edge of the page. The product to be drawn in can consist of several pages, these parameters have to be agreed upon. If required, we produce the material to be drawn in with a paper quality identical with or different from the magazine/paper, based on a previous offer.
Binding-in means in case of glue-bound magazines the binding-in of pre-produced products between the sheets or in the middle of the sheet (at the place defined by the printing stonework), fitted to the bottom or top edge of the page. The product to be bound in can also consist of several pages, these parameters have to be agreed upon. If required, we produce the material to be bound in with a paper quality identical with or different from the magazine/paper, based on a previous offer.
 

Technical conditions: the product to be drawn-in or bound-in has to be delivered at a time and to a place determined in advance. Size and weight limits have always to be agreed on previously.

Sticking
Sticking means the gluing-in of product samples or leaflets on a determined page or on a predefined place of the page of a given publication.

Technical conditions: the product to be stuck in has to be delivered at a time and to a place determined. We require a setting sample for precise placing, furthermore the size and weight limits always have to be agreed on in advance.

Direct colour
Direct colour means the use of special colour(s) beyond the normal 4 basic printing colours for emphasizing headings or image elements. Special effects can be achieved by using fluorescent or metal colours (gold, silver, bronze).

Technical conditions: when submitting the material, beyond the 4 normal colours also the required direct colours must be given as special colours in the pdf-file.

Foiling
Foiling means the placing of the product sample provided by the magazine and the customer in a foil bag and closing the bag. The product sample can be placed within the magazine as well as in front of the title page.

Technical conditions:  the product sample has to be delivered at a time and on a place given. Size and weight limits always have to be agreed on in advance.

Form lake
Form lake means the precise highlighting of headings or important image elements or logos with glossy lake. It makes the emphasized surface  plastic and elegant.

Technical conditions: when submitting the material, beyond the 4 normal colours also the surface to be form-laked must be given as special colour in the pdf-file.

Scenting
In case of scenting perfume material can be placed within the advertising space in a required size. The sample lets out the perfume when the paper is being rubbed, as the scent on the page is mixed with the form lake.

Technical conditions: during preparation, the pdf-file has to contain beyond the 4 normal colours also the surface to be scented as a special colour. The perfume material shall be mixed to the lake and delivered into the printing house by the given deadline.

Foldout page
By using foldout inner page or cover the advertising space increases and special image elements can be visualized. The cover pages or the inner advertising pages of the magazine can exceed the size of the publication or its page sizes. The direction of folding can be chosen and the material of the advertising page can deviate from the paper quality of the magazine.

Technical conditions: submitting the advertising material corresponding to the special page size on time. 

Follow-up advertisement
Follow-up advertisement is a special form of direct appearance, when the advertisement of the product appears on several consecutive pages with different image elements.

Technical conditions: submission of the advertising material on time.

Post-it sticking
Post-it sticking in the editorial space of the magazine or on the advertising of the customer is carried out even at a precisely defined place. Its advantage is that after removing the post-it it continues to function as a direct message and a reminder.

Technical conditions: It is necessary to deliver the post-it to be stuck by the time and to the place determined. We require a placing sample for precise placing. If required, our publisher also undertakes to product the post-its.

Stitching
Stitching means the stitching of pre-produced, folded products on the cover, adjusted to the bottom or the top edge of the page in case of exercise book-stitched magazines. The product to be stitched can also consist of several pages.

Technical conditions: the product sample has to be delivered by the time and to the place given. In case of products consisting of several pages the parameters have to be agreed on in advance.

Taping
Taping is an advertising space around the page or attached to one of the inner page-pairs. When banding, the ends of the tape running across the cover page are attached to each other with gluing, and the ones sticking on the page-pair are glued after being folded back. The size and form of the tape is not necessarily a normal stripe, also individual taping ideas can be realized.

Technical conditions: the tape has to be delivered at the time and to the place given. If gluing takes place on the inner page-pair, an exact placement sample is required.
